Vijayawada: Seer praises facilities at Durga temple, has some suggestions

Vijayawada: Seer Chinna Jeeyar Swami visited the Kanakadurga temple atop Indrakeeladri on auspicious Bheeshma Ekadasi day, Saturday.

On the occasion, the seer recited Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram in front of the presiding deity and gave a spiritual discourse on Sri Vishnu Sahasra Namam as Bheesma Eakadasi is the birth anniversary of the Vishnu Sahasra Namam.

Addressing the media later, the seer said that the devotees visiting the temple are getting good service under the supervision of EO V. Koteswaramma and other officials.

He stated that Goddess Durga showers her blessing those who visit the new capital city Amaravati and that the visitors to the temple have increased after bifurcation of the state.

The seer said that temple authority should not use the land pertaining to the temple for non-temple usage. He said that the Annadanam is not being done properly and advised the temple authorities to prepare the food as Nivedana Prasadam.

Ms Koteswaramma, temple trust board chairman Gowranga Babu and board members were present.
