Telugu Desam confident no member of BC would abandon it
Kurnool: Claiming that Telugu Desam has a proven record of supporting the BCs and the party's power was shared by BCs only since the formation of the party in 1982, Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy said that the proposed BC garjana by YSRC was sponsored by Telangana government. He said people belonging to backward communities were mobilised by TRS legislator Talasani Yadav. YSRC has no local BC support, he claimed.
Speaking to media on Saturday, the minister said that YSRC was in a shock after seeing the massive support that TD enjoys from the BCs at the meetings conducted by it earlier. He said no member of the BC community would leave TD.
On Anakapalle MP Avanti Srinivas, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the man who devoutly poured milk on the flexi bearing images of Naidu and claimed his supplication to Naidu is now changing the party which is a mockery of democracy. TD was not worried about such crossovers, he said.
MLC KE Prabhakar said that BCs were taken care of by the party and were provided working tools under Aadharna scheme.
