Some of the TD followers who were with Errigela family were not happy with Bhuma Akhila Priya and her followers.

Kurnool: With Operation Akarsh in full swing at the YSRC, Allagadda Assembly constituency former TD in-charge Errigela Rampulla Reddy, joined YSRC on Saturday in the presence of party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Opposing the partisan politics played by tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, Errigela along with his supporters, crossed over to the opposition party.

Speaking to this newspaper, Rampulla Reddy said that he was ready to contest as YSRC candidate from Allagadda if the top leadership asks him to do so. He said he has been an active leader at Allagadda for the past 30 years and had seen many upheavals but never deserted the party.

Former minister Silpa Mohan Reddy and MLC Gangula Prabhakar Reddy welcomed him and introduced him to the YSRCP chief. Later Jagan, wrapping a party shawl around Rampulla Reddy, told him to work for the party.

Some of the TD followers who were with Errigela family were not happy with Bhuma Akhila Priya and her followers. Unable to withstand her, the Errigela family decided to leave the party. Two days earlier, Errigela Rampulla Reddy held a meeting with his followers at his residence in Allagadda town and discussed his political future. Finally he took a decision that there was no future for him in the party and it was better for him to quit it.

Rampulla Reddy told media that minister Bhuma Akhila Priya scale of corruption was the main cause for his sudden decision. He accused that she had cornered Rs. 140 crore in Neeru Chettu projects. He claimed that he had approached vigilance, ACB and other departments on the issue but to no avail. He alleged that his followers were targeted by the minister and were tortured by the followers of minister. He alleged that the state had turned into a corruption zone with Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet. AP state will develop only with YSRC, he claimed and appealed to the people to cast their votes for Jagan.
