Hyderabad: A software employee ended her life by asphyxiating herself by covering her face with a plastic cover on Saturday.
According to the Madhapur police, the victim, V. Srividya, 25, hailed from Mumbai.
Srividya joined a women’s hostel in Madhapur on February 10. She had consulted several doctors about her health but could not find get help.
Madhapur sub-inspector A. Srinivas said, “She committed suicide on Friday by suffocating herself by covering her face with a polythene cover and tying it with a tape. It came to light on Saturday morning when the domestic help went to her room. The police found a suicide note in which she said no one was responsible for her death.”
The police has registered the case under CrPC Section 174 and investigations are underway. Police handed over the body to her family after postmortem at Gandhi Hospital.
