BS Yeddyurappa: This is a please all Budget but how will you implement it?
Bengaluru: Former CM and BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa claimed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had presented an election budget to appease various sections of people.
The big question is now about implementation as the CM can only seek a vote on account with polls looming. The next government will present a full-fledged budget but the CM has made a desperate attempt to please all sections of people, Mr Yeddyurappa said. He asserted that Mr Siddaramaiah had been trying to sell his dreams by announcing unrealistic projects. The CM had not able to spend even 50% of the amountallocated to various departments in the previous budget, Mr Yeddyurappa remarked.
JD(S) state president and the party’s floor leader in the Assembly H.D. Kumaraswamy said Mr Siddaramaiah’s budget is of no use as this government has the power only to seek a vote on account from the House till July 2018 to disperse the salaries of employees .
“Since elections are round the corner, the state government has no right to present a full fledged budget, because implementation of the budget will start from April onwards”, Mr. Kumaraswamy said.
