Two-day StartAP fest from March 5 in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: With a view to propel entrepreneurship culture and bring startups together, the state government is gearing up to organise a grand two-day StartAP Fest –Andhra-preneurship from March 5.
“StartAP is a movement aiming to create a platform for youth in A.P to establish their startup ventures. It is a story of passion, vision and entrepreneurship and how a young entrepreneur ecosystem can revitalise the economy in India,” said founder of StartAP, Siddharth Marupeddi.
The StartAP Fest 2016 is supposed be great platform for entrepreneurs, wherein they can meet, share, learn, and collaborate, he added.
“The mission is to establish a robust startup community and culture in Andhra Pradesh by connecting passionate young talent, and to make Andhra Pradesh the startup capital of India. The fest will be run by a team of entrepreneurs, students, and volunteers. It could be the largest conference for Andhra-preneurs,” he added.
The Fest is also giving scope to early stage startups to pitch their products and best pitches would be given cash award up to Rs 1.5 lakh.
Besides, the startups will be able to showcase their ideas by setting up a stall at the fest free of cost and pitch to investors and other attendees and also participate in sessions during the event.
Industrialists from across India are expected to throng the city for the event. According to the organizers, about 1,800 entrepreneurs including investors have been invited to the fest.
The fest is believed to give good exposure to the startups of Vizag.
