75-year-old BS Yeddyurappa wants to be CM!: Siddaramaiah jibe

Voters, during the previous assembly election, have asked the BJP to sit in the opposition and not rule the state,\" he remarked.

Chikkamagaluru: Amid the prevailing turmoil over the stability of the coalition government, former CM and the coalition's co-ordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah lashed out at BJP state president B.S. Yeddyurappa for repeatedly trying to destabilize the JD(S)-Congress government while dubbing him as an 'insensible person.'

Terming BJP leaders as 'brazen and shameless', Siddaramaiah said, "Mr Yeddyurappa is around 75 years old but he still dreams of becoming CM again through back door means when his party has no majority in the assembly.

Voters, during the previous assembly election, have asked the BJP to sit in the opposition and not rule the state," he remarked.

The BJP does not believe in democracy or in the Constitution and its attempts to woo MLAs of other parties by offering crores of rupees is detrimental to democracy, observed the former CM. After taking their legislators to a resort in Haryana, the saffron party is planting stories that the JD(S)-Congress government will collapse in a day or two which is "far from the truth," Siddaramaiah added.
