Hyderabad: An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by immolating herself at her residence in SR Nagar on Tuesday morning. She had completed her Intermediate.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Lalitha Rani, doused herself with kerosene and set herself on fire.
“The motive behind her act is not known yet. According to her parents, she seemed fine and it happened out of the blue on an ordinary day,” said the police inspector of SR Nagar, Mohammad Waheedu-ddin, adding that she sustained 90 per cent body burns before succumbing.
A suspicious death case was filed and a probe started.
