Visakhapatnam: A man in a fit of rage killed his wife smashing her head with a dumbbell in Gollalapalem of Sriharipuram under Malkapuram police station limits in Vizag city in the wee hours on Thursday. He later died by suicide. The police in their preliminary investigation found that a family dispute led to the tragedy.
The couple have been identified as K Madhavi (30) and K Siva Nageswara Rao (32). Their marriage was held three years ago and they have no children. The locals, who woke up to the shocking incident, said that there was a heated argument between the couple on Wednesday night.
The police said that they are collecting information and examining the mobile phones of the couple to ascertain the exact reasons for the death of the couple. A case has been registered and the bodies were shifted to the KGH morgue for post-mortem.
