Amit Shah to visit Sabarimala, whip up morale for BJP
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP president Amit Shah plans to visit Sabarimala in the last week of December to whip up the morale the party, which has been trying to maintain the tempo of its stir against the young women entry judgment of the Supreme Court.
Party State president P. S. Sreedharan Pillai has scheduled a core committee meeting for Wednesday to finalise preparations for the visit. Mr Pillai, national executive member P. K. Krishnadas, organising general secretary M. Ganesh and former president V. Mural-eedharan, MP, had mooted the visit at a meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review poll results.
The condition of former party president C.K. Padmanabhan, on relay fast in front of the Secretariat, demanding withdrawal of ban orders in Sabarimala and cases against party leaders, is stable. State general secretary Sobha Surendran is next line.
Meanwhile the State BJP leadership feels Mohanlal fans had targeted the party for the hartal held on the day of Mohanlal starrer Odiyan release on Friday.
