Hyderabad: Chaitanya Bharathi Institute tops in placements

Over 503 students of the institute have been roped in by top IT companies and other management firms.

Hyderabad: Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, has notched the highest number of placements compared to other private colleges in the state. Over 503 students of the institute have been roped in by top IT companies and other management firms. Accenture offered the highest number of placements by recruiting over 393 students whereas Infosys stands second by hiring 132 students. The highest salary package received is Rs 12 lakh per annum. Placement officials said that the starting package offered was Rs 3.5 lakh per annum and the standard package was Rs 6 lakh.

Dr N.L.N. Reddy, the head of campus placements, CBIT, said, “In spite of IT Industry’s automation and skill-based hiring for artificial intelligence, CBIT received offers from more than 50 companies this year. But there is a decrease in the opportunities for students from the manufacturing sector. We might be seeing another IT boom soon.”

G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science stood second with 388 placements with Accenture once hiring 272 students. Wipro hired 39 students from CBIT and 29 from Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College.
