Bengaluru: Infant falls from third floor, dies

The police said that the couple are from Kollegal taluk in Chamarajanagar district and had moved to Bengaluru three years ago.

Bengaluru: A 15-month-old girl who was playing in the balcony died after falling from the third floor of a building at Nayandahalli on Friday.

The incident occurred near Sollapuradamma Temple, where the child’s parents – Renukesh and Anita – had rented a house on the third floor of the building.

The police said that the couple are from Kollegal taluk in Chamarajanagar district and had moved to Bengaluru three years ago.

On Friday, as usual, the girl was playing in the balcony after Renukesh, who works at a watch showroom, left for work and Anita was busy with household chores. The girl had tried to fit herself between the grill of the balcony, lost balance and fell to the ground.

The other occupants of the building who saw the girl lying in a pool of blood, informed Anita and rushed the girl to Nimhans where she died. Chandra Layout police have registered a complaint.
