Karnataka: My brigade must for BJP's growth, says KS Eshwarappa

Mr Eshwarappa met party national president Amit Shah three days ago at Delhi.

Bengaluru: Senior BJP leader K.S. Eshwarappa is in no mood to stop his participation in events organized by Sangolli Rayanna Brigade (SRB) which has been oppsed by party state president B.S. Yeddyurappa.

Mr Eshwarappa met party national president Amit Shah three days ago at Delhi and held a 30 minute discussion with him. Sources said Mr Shah has not directed Mr Eshwarappa to stop organizing SRB meetings in future.

If such instructions had been issued to Eshwarappa, why would he be attending SRB meetings organized in Hubballi- Dharwad, Bagalkote and Vijayapura on December 18 and 19, they wondered.

Mr Eshwarappa has decided to attend SRB meetings in North Karnataka, organized to mobilize people for the mega event of SRB at Kudalasangama on January 26.

He is committed to continuing SRB as a non-political forum, the sources added. Mr Eshwarappa has given a comprehensive picture about organizational activities of the party after Yeddyurappa was appointed party chief in the state, to Mr Shah.

He has also complained about Yeddyurappa unilaterally appointing party district presidents and state office bearers. Due to these appointments, the party cadre has been left disappointed and there is unrest among them in the districts, he complained.
