Telangana Chief Secretary reviews note ban impact with officials
Hyderabad: The TS government has geared up to meet the after-effect of demonetisation of currency notes on the state revenues and expenditures in the days to come.
Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma has held a meeting with heads of department in the Secretariat and asked them to study its impact on respective departments.
“We have decided to study the impact of demonetisation in the respective departments on a daily basis and take appropriate measures to counter the impact. Besides studying the income of the last seven months, the likely impact in the month of November and till the end of financial year will reviewed on a daily basis,” a senior official said.
The official said, “There was discussion on likely income in the days to come, pending Central grants, and TS share of taxes from Centre etc.”
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who held a series of meetings with officials earlier, had asked them to take stock of the situation on a daily basis including income and expenditure, as also the impact on flagship and other developmental and welfare schemes.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries Pradeep Chandra, S.P. Singh, M.G. Gopal, Ranjeev Acharya, S.K. Joshi, Ajay Mishra, Principal Secretary CMO Narsing Rao, Rama Krishna Rao, Sunil Sharma, Finance Secretary Navin Mittal and IG Intelligence Naveen Chand.
