Students must emulate APJ Abdul Kalam: Chandrababu Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed concern about students committing suicide.
Mr Naidu said students should follow the ideals of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for a better future. The CM also said that the State Government would extend its support towards the higher education of Pratibha award winners. He announced the allotment of an additional Rs 30 crore for this purpose.
“There is a need to protect our culture and traditions,” he said. Of the total 3,992 students who received Pratibha awards, 2,531 were girls and 1461 were boys.
The CM said virtual classrooms would be developed to improve educational standards in government schools.
Minister for Human Resources Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the State Government had allotted Rs 23,900 crore budget towards education this year.
