Hyderabad: Lightning killed a farmer in Ranga Reddy district, while two cows were electrocuted in Nalgonda district on Sunday. The farmer, S. Ramdas, 38, of Kalakonda village in Madgul mandal, was working in his field in Gopyanayak tanda on Sunday morning when it began pouring. He ran to take shelter under a tree when lightning struck him and killed him. Ramdas is survived by his wife and two daughters.
In Nalgonda, two cows owned by Avula Yadaiah, a farmer from Neernemula, were grazing on Sunday when they came into contact with a live electric wire and died.
