Justice Lakshmana Reddy sworn in as AP Lokayukta
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan on Sunday administered the oath of office to Justice P. Lakshmana Reddy, retired judge of AP High Court, as Lokayukta of Andhra Pradesh at a solemn ceremony at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram auditorium on Sunday.
The ceremony commenced at 11 am with the principal secretary R.P. Sisodia reading out the ‘warrant of appointment’ appointing Justice P. Lakshmana Reddy as the Lokayukta by the Governor.
Later, the Governor and the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated Justice Lakshmana Reddy on his taking oath and assuming the office as Lokayukta of AP. They presented bouquets to him.
Several retired and serving judges of AP High Court, government Chief Whip in the Legislative Council, Ummareddy Vekateswarlu, advisers to government Ajeya Kallam, Samuel, several bureaucrats and public representatives attended the oath-taking ceremony.
