Chamarajanagar: A leopard’s unsuccessful attack on a porcupine on the Chamarajnagar-Satymangalam road which comes under Biligiriranga Hills Tiger Reserve (BRT) went viral on Sunday after some travellers on a jeep were lucky enough to capture the attack on their camera albeit in the dark.
In the four minute video, the leopard tries to sink its jaws into the porcupine but the spine covered rodent manages to evade the attack a couple of times.
Eventually, the leopard makes a bold move to hunt down the porcupine but its sharp edged quills come in handy piercing the leopard's mouth giving enough time to the porcupine to flee from the spot.
