Bengaluru: Two die in road accidents

The deceased has been identified as Dhanushankar, a resident of Manjushree Layout in KR Puram.

Bengaluru: A 26-year-old biker died on the spot after he lost control over his bike and rammed into the road railings on Nice Road in Byatrayanapura traffic police station limits on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhanushankar, a resident of Manjushree Layout in KR Puram. He was working as an electrician, the police said.

As a result, Dhanushankar fell off the bike and sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. Byatrayanapura traffic police rushed to the spot and shifted his body to a hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered in this regard.

In another incident, a 29-year-old cloth merchant was knocked down by a container lorry in Yeshwanthpur traffic police station limits on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Shoukat, a resident of Lakshmidevi Nagar in Laggere. According to police, Shoukat was selling clothes on the roadside at
CMT Junction at around 11 am when a container lorry knocked him down. Shoukat was killed on the spot.

The police shifted his body to the hospital for post-mortem and are investigating the case.
