Hyderabad: As many as 123 vehicles lying in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus depot, Miyapur are being auctioned on Sunday at 8 am.

Some have been lying here since 2012. Most of these vehicles are road worthy and very few are scrap.

The vehicles were occupying lot of space and affecting the maintenance of RTC buses. The managing director addressed a letter to transport commissioner, Sunil Sharma.

“Vehicles seized by the transport department kept in RTC Depot for long have piled up. The vigilance, enforcement and AG audit are pointing out the loss of revenue to the corporation causing a congestion for parking their own vehicles,” the MD wrote in the letter.

Following this, the transport commissioner instructed that the vehicles be auctioned from the depot immediately.

After the auction, all the successful bidders for the road worthy vehicles would get registration certificates to get the transfer of ownership done, whereas for scrap vehicles would be given to the bidders after cutting into pieces at the bidders cost and no certificate will be issued. All the bidders are supposed to claim thier vehicles within a period of ten days from the auction.
