A 45-year-old man died after a tree branch accidentally fell on him at Dr Rajkumar Park on Friday.

Mysuru: A 45-year-old man died after a tree branch accidentally fell on him at Dr Rajkumar Park on Friday. The incident happened around 7.30 am when the victim, identified as Mahadeva alias Manchaiah, was standing on the road near Woodlands theatre. Though he was rushed to KR hospital, he succumbed to injuries. Mahadeva is a native of Rammanahalli in Mysuru taluk and is survived by wife and son. Lashkar police have registered a case. "While Mysuru city Corporation pruned the extra branches of the tree after the Friday's incident, they should take up such works on a regular basis," said Harish, a passerby.
