Balayya starting mobile medical services in Hindupur

ANANTAPUR: Film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna is pressing into service an NTR Uchitha Arogya Ratham in his Hindupur assembly constituency to provide free medical services in every village.

The vehicle will have on board a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, laboratory and a computer operator. They will diagnose up to 200 diseases and provide treatment, including medicines. ₹40 lakh have been spent on the vehicle to turn it into a mobile clinic with diagnostic services.

The vehicle has reached Hindupur. It is expected to be inaugurated by Balakrishna soon. It carries the slogan “Prathi Intiki Subhamastu – Mana Hindupur, Mana Balayya”.

Party sources said unlike 108 and 104 ambulances, the film actor-cum-MLA’s vehicle will itself reach villages and provide diagnostic services and treatment for diseases, including diabetes, hypertension and seasonal fevers. Villagers will thus be able to save travelling expenses.

Patients will be referred to hospitals if their ailments are serious.
