TTD EO asks workers to show dedication
TIRUPATI: While wishing the 20,000 odd workforce of TTD comprising religious, non-religious, teaching, contract, out-sourcing etc, at a Happy Independence Day event, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal called upon the employees to rededicate themselves to the service of devotees.
During his address on the occasion of 73rd Independence Day at Parade Grounds after hoisting the National flag in Tirupati on Thursday, the EO recalled the independence struggle which was an outcome of efforts of countless freedom fighters.
"Today is a sublime moment to pay tributes to all those who scarified their lives to win us freedom. It's time for all of us to step into their shoes to offer best possible services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala", he added.
EO stated that the strong work force of TTD is doing lot of service to the pilgrims in terms of providing darshan, accommodation, annaprasadam, Laddu prasadams, maintaining sanitation, providing security cover etc., to scores of pilgrims who throng Tirumala temple. But still lot to improvise in accordance to day by day increasing rush.
Later he also listed out the various development activities done by TTD. The EO along with Special Officer Tirumala A.V. Dharma Reddy, JEO P. Basant Kumar and CVSO Gopinath Jatti gave away meritorious awards to 39 senior officers and also employees of various departments.
The NCC students of TTD educational institutions presented a spectacular display of horse show as a part of Independence Day celebrations. The show included tent pegging and jumping show, display of national, NCC and TTD flags and also horse riding all round the ground by these NCC cadets.
The display by the TTD Dogs squad of the vigilance department was a major attraction during the I-Day celebrations. The trained dogs presented flower bouquet to TTD EO. They also show cased group drills, scanning of drugs and explosives adventure and silent drills, spotting of terrorists, which mused the spectators.
Meanwhile, TTD JEO P. Basant Kumar also hoisted the National Flag at S.V. Bala Mandir amidst hearing impaired children as a part of Independence Day celebrations. He distributed 120 Hearing aids to around 60 impaired children of Sravanam, TTDs institution for treating hearing-impaired children.
At Tirumala, the 73rd Independence Day was observed in a grand manner at Gokulam Camp Office where TTD SO Dharma Reddy hoisted the National Flag and sought the employees to rededicate themselves in pilgrim service.
VGO Manohar, CE Ramachandra Reddy, Estates Officer Vijaya Saradhi and others were also present.
