Kurnool: Man collapses in police station, dies in hospital
Balakrishna was shifted to the Nandikotkur hospital where he was pronounced dead, the DSP said.
Kurnool: The death of a 45-year-old man in police custody at Jupadu Bunga-low in Nandikotkur circle set off a wave of protests by his relatives. The victim, Balakrishna of Tudicherla village, used to eke out his livelihood by selling toddy. The police arrested him for allegedly running a belt shop.
Atmakur DSP Venkat Rao said the police had called Balakrishna for questioning as he was found running a belt shop at Tudicherla. When the police was questioning him, Balakrishna developed seizures and collapsed.
Balakrishna was shifted to the Nandikotkur hospital where he was pronounced dead, the DSP said.
