Chennai: Children learn to segregate waste

Solutions of environmental problems are not impossible to superior creatures like us humans if we stay committed, said Uthkarsh Srinivasan.

Chennai: Annettes Club of Madras North today held VOW- value our waste, a waste segregation workshop along with home composting.

The workshop was conducted by Arulpriya S., founder of Nammaboomi, an NGO working towards a plastic-free city. she explained the usage of different bins, waste segregation and also home composting.

“Solutions of environmental problems are not impossible to superior creatures like us – humans if we stay committed. As a youth and global citizen, we friends, have our responsibility towards our mother earth. Hence the project VOW. It is a promise to reduce our carbon footprint, to learn about waste segregation, so we can recycle our waste and to reduce our non-biodegradable waste,” said Uthkarsh Srinivasan, President of Annette club of Madras North.
