Silpa Chakrapani Reddy's resignation accepted
Vijayawada: Kurnool MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy's resignation is accepted. Council Incharge Chairman Reddy Subramanyam said Mr Chakrapani had submitted his resignation on August 3, and we have asked him to come and meet in person, but he hadn't turned up. When contacted over phone, Mr Silpa Chakrapani said he had voluntarily submitted his Council Incharge Chairman Reddy Subramanyam said Mr Chakrapani had submitted his resignation on August 3resignation and is happy that they have accepted his resignation.
Mr Chakrapani Reddy on the very day of joining YSRC on August 2 had resigned from his MLC position on the directives of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. At that point both Mr Silpa Chakrapani and YSR Congress had claimed that this resignation is to uphold the values and respect of politics.
Mr Chakrapani Reddy in the same line had submitted his resignation and even when spoke to Mr Reddy Subrahmanyam, Council Vice Chairman had requested the same. While the Council Vice Chairman is able to accept the resignation of MLC Mr Chakrapani Reddy, the speaker still kept pending the disqualification petition on YSRC defected MLAs since March 5, 2016. Even the High Court had given notices to the defected Minister ordering him to give an explanation.
