Hyderabad: The joy ride of two childhood friends to meet their friends on a holiday ended in disaster killing one and leaving the other critically injured.
Police said the mishap occurred on Tolichowki flyover when the 1200 cc Honda CBR bike they were riding rammed into the divider. Syed Rehanuddin died on the spot and his friend Anwar Nasar was injured.
Police said Rehanuddin, who completed MBA along with his friend Nasar from Mallepally, was working for a private firm in Hitech City.
On Tuesday afternoon they left home on their bike to meet friends. Rehanuddin was driving and Nasar was on the pillion.
While passing the Tolichowki flyover due to high speed Rehanuddin lost control and hit the road divider. Due to the impact both were flung in the air and fell in the opposite lane. Police said the accident occurred due to high speed. Police found that Rehanuddin was wearing a helmet but it was damaged. The police is checking CCTV cameras en route as there are no cameras on the flyover.
