Drop in mercury levels in Hyderabad as rains weaken
HYDERABAD: Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected from Saturday to July 19 across the state, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Although rains receded, temperatures went down, with a maximum of 25.5ºC and a minimum of 21.3ºC, making the city cooler than usual.
The temperature in the state was normal due to partially sunny weather, with Nalgonda at 34ºC and Medak at 28.8ºC. The sky will remain generally cloudy and light rains are very likely to occur in parts of the city in the next 48 hours.
The maximum temperature of 26.6ºC and a minimum of 22.5ºC are to be expected with relative humidity of 79 per cent and rainfall of 0.5 mm for the next 48 hours in the city. No rains are expected in the next 24 hours in the state.
Yellow warnings have been issued as isolated heavy rains are expected to occur at many places in the districts of Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtyal, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Pedapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Warangal and Hanamkonda in Telangana for the next 48 hours.
