Kannur: The family of Sajan Parayil, the NRK businessman who had committed suicide allegedly due to the delay on the part of Anthoor municipality near here in issuing occupancy certificate for a convention centre, has approached Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking a CBI probe into the suicide
Ms Beena Sajan, the wife of Sajan, has submitted a petition to the chief minister saying that she has no faith in the ongoing investigation by state police.
The investigation is in the wrong direction and is aimed at saving the real culprits as well as tarnish the image of both the dead man and his living relatives, she said in the memorandum.
The move of the family attains significance in the backdrop of the family of Monzoor, a friend and driver of Sajan, earlier alleged that the police was trying to use the name of Monzoor to establish that the suicide of Sajan was due to family issues, against which the family is planning to take legal remedies.
