Air Force ready for another Kargil: Speaking on a seminar organised to mark 20 years of 'Operation Safed Sagar' carried out during the Kargil war, Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa said the Indian Air Force was "very well ready" for a full spectrum of warfare from sub-conventional to nuclear threats.

Citizenship awarded to migrants in Rajasthan: As many as 1,310 migrants in Rajasthan have been given citizenship, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai informed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Rai migrants have been granted citizenship by the government of Rajasthan and the District Collectors of Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Jaipur.

Ex-service man man donates to Defence Ministry: A former Indian Air Force (IAF) Airman donated Rs 1.08 crore to the Defence Ministry, news agency ANI reported. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Airman C B R Prasad on Monday and received the cheque from him.

Residents of Dongi form human chains to help: The narrow lanes and dense neighbourhood of Mumbai’s Dongri, where the four story building collapsed on Tuesday morning, have become a huge challenge for the rescue workers. So to lend a helping hand in the rescue operations by the disaster response personnel and policemen, residents of the area formed a human chain and tried to remove the debris, brick by brick lifting slabs of concrete in their search for survivors.
