Hyderabad: Trio sent to prison for nuisance

Hyderabad: Three persons were convicted on Monday for creating nuisance on the road in an inebriated condition at Chaitanyapuri and obstructing the police from performing their duty. The court directed the trio to undergo two days of imprisonment and pay Rs 500 each as penalty.

According to the Chaitanyapuri police, three persons, G. Chetan, 28, N. Rakesh, 23, and N. Johny, 30, were seen creating nuisance on the road and disturbing passersby near a private bank.

The police patrol approached the drunk trio and asked them to leave the place and not create a ruckus. The drunk men instead of complying blocked the police.

The police said that a case was registered on the trio under IPC Sections 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 290 (punishment for public nuisance) and Section 70 (A) of the Police Act.
