Hyderabad: Continuing his tirade against the Congress, municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday said unless the people bury it completely, Bangaru Telangana cannot be achieved.
Participating in a series of meetings in Mahbubnagar district headquarters on Saturday, Mr Rama Rao accused Congress leaders, especially leaders from erstwhile Mahbubnagar district of creating hurdles in the government’s endeavour for Bangaru Telangana.
He inaugurated ‘Haritha Vanam’ (Green Park) in Mahbubnagar city that is spread into 250 acres and also inaugurated a ropeway of 200 metres of the proposed 1km stretch planned.
Addressing a public meeting, Mr Rama Rao said, “How can they try to stall Palamuru-Rangareddy lift scheme which will be the lifeline for erstwhile Mahbubnagar district?”
Referring to the cases filed by local Congress leaders, he said, “They did nothing for the district during their rule, but now, when we are trying to develop the district, they want to create problems for us.”
