Conspiracy to scuttle probe: Ganapati's son
Mysuru: DySP M K Ganapati’s son Nehal has filed a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission alleging a conspiracy to scuttle the investigation into his father’s suicide.
He stated that Kushalnagar rural police station did not register a FIR for his mother’s complaint requesting an impartial probe against the instigators of suicide - Minister K.J. George, and senior police officers Pramod Mohanty and A.M. Prasad. He urged the SHRC to conduct an impartial probe and bring to book the thee people, mentioned by his father in his last interview to a TV channel in Madikeri.
PIL dismissed
The High Court on Friday dismissed the PIL filed by Ranganatha Reddy, and few other advocates seeking directions to the state police to register an FIR into the suicide case of DySP M.K. Ganapati. The court dismissed the PIL after the government advocate informed that the case is slated for hearing at Madikeri JMFC on July 18.
