Hyderabad: A nine-year-old boy from Ghatkesar mandal on the city outskirts who was bitten by a dog died at the Fever Hospital on Wednesday.
The family lives in Firazaguda near Ghatkesar. The boy was playing outside the house when he was bitten. He suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the Fever Hospital for treatment.
The Balala Hukala Sangam registered a complaint with the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and demanded compensation for the family. It said that the problem of stray dogs must be tackled in the Ghatkesar area.
