Chennai: Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Wednesday condoled the death of veteran director A.C. Tirulokchandar, saying people in film industry gained “rich experience” by working with him.
She also recalled that a film Deivamagan directed by Mr Tirulokchandar in which she played the lead role was recommended for coveted Oscar awards.
“He is known for directing films centering around women and is known for his simple nature. I convey my deep condolences to the family of Mr Tirulokchandar,” she said in her message.
