It's Dilli Chalo for Anupama Shenoy's fans
Mangaluru: With no change in the state government’s stand on former Kudligi DySP, Anupama Shenoy’s resignation, her supporters are now considering approaching Governor Vajubhai Vala and the Congress high command to ensure she gets justice.
Angry with the government for accepting her resignation without even talking to her about what why she had taken such a step, her supporters want the Governor to direct the authorities to conduct a proper inquiry into the matter.
They also plan to go to Delhi and hold a symbolic protest before approaching the Congress high command with details about the case and the tyranny of the liquor lobby in the state.
Her aides also insist that the former DySP’s resignation letter, leaked on Tuesday, was the ‘original,’ and she had to change it later under immense pressure from a senior officer.
Ms Shenoy’s family members, however, claim to know little about any of this. They also deny any knowledge of where she is presently.
Ms Shenoy had resigned recently citing the influence wielded by the Liquor lobby which she said, was preventing her from discharging her duties honestly. She was particularly upset over the manner in which she was targeted by labour minister P.T. Parameshwar Naik
In fact, Anupama was tranferred earlier in January this year after she reportedly kept the minister’s call on hold leading to a raging controversy in social media. Her transfer was later revoked under public pressure.
