YSRC refutes political conspiracy in rebel MP's arrest
VIJAYAWADA: YSR Congress has refuted any political conspiracy or connection of ruling party in the arrest of rebel MP K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju. The party clarified that it is the MP’s irresponsible behaviour that has led to his arrest. However, all opposition leaders have condemned arrest of the MP.
YSRC maintained that Raghurama Krishnam Raju had tried to drive a wedge between various castes in the society through statements that spread hatred for one another.
Penamaluru MLA Kolusu Parthasarathi maintained that the state government or YSRC Party has nothing to do with arrest of the MP. He instead accused Raghurama Krishnam Raju and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan of being involved in a conspiracy hatched by Telugu Desam Party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in defaming YSRC.
Housing minister Cherukuvada Sri Ranganatha Raju said law will take its own course with regard to the MP. He pointed out that Raghurama Krishnam Raju has abandoned his constituency and has been living in Delhi since past 14 months. He slammed opposition parties for opposing arrest of the MP and questioned their interest in the matter.
Narsapuram MLA Madunuri Prasad Raju and his Bhimavaram counterpart Grandhi Srinivas accused Raghurama Krishnam Raju of targeting specific sections of the society in his hate speeches.
However, Chandrababu Naidu and several other leaders of TD, CPI state secretary K. Ramakrishna and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan objected to the MP’s arrest and accused police of being high-handed.
