Coimbatore: The CBI sleuths raided the farm house of Thirunavukarasu, the alleged kingpin of the gang who sexually harassed many young women near Pollachi in the recent past.
A five-member gang of financier Thirunavukarasu and his associates, Sabari Rajan, Vasanth Kumar, Satheesh and Manivanan, are alleged to be behind the unfortunate racket.
The gang members are believed to have sexually harassed many women including school and college girls, had also shot video of girls in the act and blackmailed them asking for money and jewels.
With CBI taking up the case for investigation, the sleuths lost no time to raid the farm house of Thirunavukarasu at Chinnappampalayam near Pollachi. The search lasted for over four hours on Wednesday.
The sleuths after investigating the spot, confirmed one place of occurrence were a young girl was sexually harassed by the gang. A video footage related to it was suspected to be shot at the farm house of Thirunavukarasu where a girl was sexually tortured by the gang. It had gone viral on social media and during the search the officials have recovered a hard disc.
The sleuths also enquired the neighbors about the girls visiting the farmhouse.
During investigation, the neighbors had allegedly revealed that two young girls came to the farm house couple of years ago during early hours and were struggling without money for returning to their home town alleging charges against the gang that took away their money and ATM cards.
