Hyderabad: The body of an unidentified man was found floating in a local GHMC nala opposite Imamguda masjid at Yellareddyguda under the police station limits of Panjagutta.
“The man is about 45 years old, and died three days ago. There were no external injuries on the body of the victim, so we cannot suspect murder. Things would become cleared once when the post mortem report comes in,” said Punjagutta police investigating official S.K. Kaviuddin.
The nala is 20 feet deep and it had 1.5 feet of water. Police said the body would have surfaced due to the rains.
One of the hostel owners spotted the body at around 9.15 am and informed the police. The post mortem of the body would be conducted at Gandhi Hospital and a case booked under CrPC Section 174 (suspicious death).
