Chennai: Helpline numbers for private sector employees

In case of complaints, employees can register complaints at the helpline or through email.

Chennai: The Labour department has released a list of helpline numbers across all districts that employees not getting a holiday on poll day (May 16) can reach out to. According the circular released, it has to be ensured that there is 100 percent voting on May 16 and so private institutions and companies should provide a paid holiday for people to exercise their vote.

In case of complaints, employees can register complaints at the helpline or through email. The details of district labour inspectors and their mobile numbers have been made available on the state Labour Department’s website www.labour.tn.gov.in and at www.tn.gov.in.
