Nellore: TNSF leader’s wife stages protest in front of MLA’s office

Nellore: Police resorted to a mild lathicharge in front of the office of Nellore rural YSRC legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy after TD and YSRC men came to blows when Sai Anjitha, wife of injured TD student wing leader Tirumala Naidu, resorted to a protest before the office along with her child expressing worry over the safety of her husband on Monday.

Some TD leaders including TNSF district general secretary Amrullah were present with Sai Anjitha. Trouble started when YSRC cadres pulled up TD men for their demonstration. Sensing trouble, police used mild force to disperse the two groups. Anjitha relented after police assured action against the accused.

Elsewhere, MLC Beeda Ravi Chandra and Mayor Abdul Aziz staged a protest at VR College centre along with TNSF members demanding action against Nellore rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy for the murderous assault on Tirumala Naidu.

Meanwhile, police arrested TNSF leaders Amrullah, Dattathreya Yadav, Kishore, Vasmi Chowdary on Monday for attempting to enter the Nellore rural MLA’s office and for damaging the flex boards before the office on Sunday.

TD leaders said critically injured Tirumala Naidu was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Nellore.
