TSEB workers dump debris on roadside

The works started more than a week ago on a stretch of more than a kilometre of the road.

Hyderabad: While GHMC is addressing the much awaited requirement of installing electricity poles on Manjeera Pipeline Road, Madinaguda, the debris from the digging is left along the median, posing a threat to commuters.

The works started more than a week ago on a stretch of more than a kilometre of the road. It is difficult for the commuters to spot the debris at night. There are no flags or barricades to alert the commuters. Since it is a smooth stretch, motorists tend to speed and residents allege that the workers' negligence can lead to major accidents.

A resident of the locality, Mr. Rajinder Singh, said, "Despite requesting GHMC officials to help us, no action has been taken. We want this problem to be solved before any mishap takes place".

While residents are requesting the works to be expedited, a trench dug on the same road is also posing a big threat to the commuters.
