Thalavai Sundaram had permission to enter home, says raid FIR
Chennai: The FIR registered by Chennai police on complaint from income tax director (investigations) in connection with the alleged trespassing by TN ministers into the house of Dr C Vijayabhaskar on Greenways Road on April 7 while the I-T raid was on, says AIADMK leader Thalavai Sundaram, special representative of TN, was permitted to enter the house.
Along with him ministers R. Kamaraj and Udumalai Radhakrishnan entered the premises without permission, said the FIR registered at Abhiramapuram police station based on complaint from Pavankumar RSVS, director, I-T (investigations). The complainant also mentioned that Thalavai Sundaram took a notebook and passed it to Vijayabaskar’s driver. The car driver ran out of the house with notebook and when the CISF men stopped him, the noted book was taken by another man who ran towards the gate and threw it to the crowd waiting outside. The car driver who reached the gate was seen giving instruction to the person who got it, to tear it off, the FIR said.
In similar way later in the day Thalavai Sundaram, and the two ministers along with another minister Kadambur Raju barged into the house of actor-politician Sarath Kumar in Kottivakkam, where also the taxmen were conducting searches, the FIR said. Police personnel had slapped a case against AIADMK leader Thalavai Sundaram and others on charges of trespassing and threatening public servants from discharging their duty. They were booked under IPC Sections 183 (resistance to the taking of property by the lawful authority of a public servant) 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) 189 (threat of injury to public servant) and 448 (trespassing).
