Telangana: Asifabad records 44º Celsius
Hyderabad: The Met department has warned of severe heat over the next three days till April 18 even as the city recorded 41.6º Celsius on Saturday, the highest so far this season. All districts recorded temperatures above 40ºC. The Met department warned that there would be little relief in the coming weeks.
The weather bureau said heat wave conditions would prevail at isolated places in the districts of North Telangana and maximum temperatures would likely be up to 4ºC above normal. Asifabad recorded 44ºC, the highest in the state, Bhadrachalam 43.9ºC, Bhupalpally 43.8ºC and Adilabad 43.7ºC.
The well-marked low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal concentrated into a depression. It is likely to intensify into a deep depression during the next 24 hours. As per current weather patterns, it is expected to move towards Bangladesh or Myanmar and will not affect south India.
