Integral Coach Factory sees 14 per cent increase in coach turnout
CHENNAI: Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has bagged an export order from Sri Lanka for the supply of 78 DEMUs and 160 coaches, general manager, K Mani, said on Saturday. He added that in 2016-2017, Integral Coach Factory (ICF) achieved a record turnout of 2227 coaches, a number that is 14% higher than that of the previous year.
Mani was speaking at the ICF’s 62nd railway week celebrations held at the Ambedkar Arangam in Ayanavaram, where Kiran Bedi, lieutenant governor of Puducherry was the chief guest. “In 2016-2017, ICF also rolled out 316 Deen Dayalu, 48 Antodaya coaches and one trans-view tourism coach. ICF will be rolling out Tejas high-speed LHB premium coaches and Anubhuti luxury LHB coaches,” general manager, K Mani said. There are also plans to roll 15 coaches for Nilgiri Mountain Railway, and 535 coaches for MUTP Phase III and 16 rakes for Kolkata Metro.
