Telangana: 487 police applicants criminals'

Hyderabad: 487 applicants for the ongoing police recruitment have involved in criminal cases in the past. The candidates have revealed the details in their applications, TS Level Police Recruitment Board officials said.

Officials suspect that aspirants must have concealed their criminal background. To deal with this situation,  the board started e-verification. "We have tied up with Valuepitch, a company that has built Criminal e-verification tool called Verify24x7. This tool checks antecedents across India in over 19,000 courts and has a database of 12 crore records that get updated," an official said.
