Mirzapur: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday exuded confidence that BJP will secure a "clear majority" in 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
"We will form the next government in Uttar Pradesh with a clear majority", Singh, who was here to visit the Vindhyavasini shrine, told newspersons.
The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said his party does not believe in "casteist and communal equations".
On recent political developments in Uttarakhand, the Union Minister said democratic process will be restored in the state after the court's verdict.
Singh said Ministry of External Affairs has been doing the "needful" to bring back the bodies of Indian nationals who died in Pakistani jails.
