YS Vivekananda Reddy brutally murdered at his residence in Pulivendula

KURNOOL: Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, former minister and paternal uncle of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, was brutally murdered at his residence in Pulivendula at around 5 am on Friday. Vivekananda Reddy was a brother of late former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.

Vivekananda Reddy’s body was found in a pool of blood in the washroom attached to his bedroom, with injuries to his head and hands.

Kadapa superintendent of police Rahul Dev Sharma said that a post-mortem revealed that it was a clear case of murder. Director General of Police R.P. Thakur constituted a Special Investigation Team with five members to investigate the murder. Additional Director-General, CID, Amit Garg, will supervise the investigation.

Mr Sharma said that there was a deep cut to the forehead, hand and thigh. The report revealed seven injuries.
