Tiruchy: Dr Montek Singh highlights critical aspects of planning
Tiruchy: Former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia stressed on four key aspects of slogans, targets, programmes, and policy in the context of planning and governance.
He cited certain instances of how governments identify targets and move forward to implement policies for the same.
Mr. Ahluwalia made this observations while delivering a guest lecture at the second day event of the four-day ongoing ‘Pragyan’ celebrations at the National Institute of Technology-Tiruchy (NIT-T) here on Friday.
He also pointed out that the current state of healthcare and education in the country and addressed them from the reforms perspective.
M.Y.S. Prasad, former director of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre inaugurated the event on Thursday night in the presence of Mr. Kesavan G, Head of supply chain management, Power, Transmission and Distribution at Larsen and Toubro.
In her presidential address, Prof. Mini Shaji Thomas, director of the NIT-T highlighted everything that ‘Pragyan 2019’ has to offer, giving special emphasis to competitions that are aimed at fostering product development and entrepreneurship.
