Pollachi sex scandal case: Over 100 complaints lodged on police mobile number

Coimbatore: Hundreds of complaints were lodged with the CB-CID police through the mobile phone number they released a day ago.

According to a police source, Thirunavukarasu and his associates have sexually harassed hundreds of girls and young women. However no one came forward to lodge complaints.

The incident came to light after a college girl lodged a police complaint. The CB-CID police released a mobile number (94884-42993) a day ago and claimed that victims affected by the gang can lodge a complaint at this number and details of the victims will be kept secret if they do so.

Within 15 hours of releasing the mobile number, hundreds of complaints were lodged against the gang, added the official.

As a financier Thirunavukarasu had given money to many poor women in his area. After they failed to return it at regular intervals, he harassed and abused them, it is alleged.
